Work Day Weekly Wears

So I quite like these pics cause I look a bit younger in them, ha ha. Think it's the high pony...Yessss.

I really love this outfit cause it's kinda fun and comfy and I really enjoy mixing up my colours.

Earlier this year my awesome mum shouted me and my sister a trip to the Philippines and Hong Hong for our cousins wedding!!! how cool is that. But no....... it wasn't cool...... it was hot!!!!!!

We knew it would be so I went and grabbed myself a couple of really light weight tops that would be good for travel and the humid conditions.

I really quite like the colour mustard but it does not suit me that well, but it was only $5.00!!!! and i just loved it. So when when I wear it I usually put a bright coloured scarf with it to lift it.

This scarf is another fave and I got it on the same trip but in Hong Kong. I like a bit of leopard print and a bit of fluro and this scarf combines the two!!!!

Work Day Weekly Wears

When it came to winter I had to go and purchase more pieces to go with my winter wardrobe for school. After a day of shopping I grabbed myself some great deals. This outfit shows some of what I bought.

This cardi has been one of my favs. It just seems to go well with every outfit.

What's the go to piece in your wardrobe during winter time? We would love to hear what your favourites are.

Now let's talk about my boots!!!!! Just look at them! Aren't they gorgeous? Well I guess if you don't like orange these won't be a fav of yours, but I saw them and just had to have them! They are so comfy and add a pop of colour to any outfit. They go so well jeans, tights and skirts.

Work Day Weekly Wears

Hey Guys, it's another fashion post for you.

During the colder months, it's always nice to find an option to wear to work that isn't jeans or pants.

I picked up these awesome tights super cheap from Dotti in their summer sale. I love that they are almost like a water colour painting, perfect for an art teacher don't you think ;p
Paired with a simple skirt and top, it's a great thing to wear all day which is comfortable and looks good.

I love converse shoes and recently when I went on a trip to Hong Kong I found these gorgeous yellow ones. I think they look great with the tights and it's totally keeping in my theme of colour.

Anchor Me

So my 10yr old daughter has a great sense of style. Always has. I remember going into a shop with her when she was only about 3.5 and her getting belts and handbags she thought would go with the clothes I was buying. She always got it right.

We picked up these awesome high tops from cotton on the other day and I thought it would be cool to customise them. After a quick convo she decided on anchors, how styley is she :) So after picking out a cool colour thread and working out the size of the anchor we were off.

Here's a simple how to customise your own.

Mim

Start with your high top :)

Draw an outline of your chosen design onto your shoe with pencil. It's always a good idea to have a practice first on a piece of paper to make sure you get it just right.

Carefully stitch in your design following the pencil outline as a guide.

There we have it!!!! The finished product, that wasn't so hard was it :)

Once we finished we decided to put in some cool pink laces we had which I think really makes them look awesome.

The finished product and the happy customer.

Thursday outfit

Skirt: Instinct

Belt: Kmart
Tights: Shanton $3!!!!! on special
Ballet Flats: No1

Ok so I have thought for a while I would like to do some outfit posts. But man it's so hard to get a good pic!!!!! Next time i should put up all my lame-o shots just to prove how many times i had to take a picture to actually get one that is half decent!!!

I have a few probs.

1: My camera is lame. It's really old and bad and often turns it'self off so the whole process takes ages just cause of that.

2: I have to use self timer as the kids are all at school and Tama is at work so that's is always a pain.

3: It's really hard finding somewhere to put the camera and get the shot so i actually have my feet and head in it at the same time!!!

4: When taking the pic outside either the sun is totally in my eyes so i am squinting really bad (Hence the sunnies) or our puppy tilly walks in front of the camera just as it is going off.

Oh well i got it in the end. Hopefully this will not be my one and only outfit post :) Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated to improve this process.

All the shades

Ok so i have had a lot of hair colours in my lifetime. I recently went back to redish brunette. I love it!!! It was definitely time for a change. Just wondering how often you change your hair colour? What about cuts? wouldn't it be so nice if it only took a few months for it to grow back nice and long again. I would be so ready for heaps more experiments if that was the case.

When I was 17 back in 1994 I had hair half way down my back and i had never even dyed it! The trend for guys to shave their heads was just coming in and a few guys from school had done it. Well me being the kind of independent, individual young woman that i was decided i should too!!!

I went to a friends place at lunch and i just shaved it all off...number one all over, my poor mum. Lets just say it did not go down well at all!!!! I still have the pony tail.

Since then i have done the red, the black, the peroxide, the reshave, brown, blonde, blow fly blue...

I thought i would put a few different pics up and see what you guys like. By the way my natural colour is a very dark blonde, some may even call it mousy brown ha ha.

This last pic is my current style, am really enjoying the straight across fringe rather than side swept :)

New shoes!!!

You can imagine my joy and delight when the courier arrived this morning with a package for me. The cute (cheap) little jelly shoes i ordered from ezibuy arrived!!!!

I am so pleased with them. Just the perfect little flat to go with anything, anytime.

I really think the bows and spots just make them. What do you think?
